YOUR PERFECT CUP, FROM THE GROUND UP

The Las Colinas producers are small to medium-sized independent farmers from Mozonte who have been collaborating with Caravela in Nicaragua for over four harvests. They focus on preserving traditional Arabica varieties and use pine trees for shade, with a strong emphasis on quality. These farmers typically own five-hectare farms where they cultivate 85% Catui, 10% Caturra, and 5% Pacamara at elevations between 1,450 and 1,650 meters above sea level, from January to May. The high elevation and unique microclimate result in a late harvest season. The region’s topography and clay loam soils are perfect for coffee production, along with the cultivation of corn, beans, tomatoes, peppers, and potatoes.
