Finding the Perfect Space
Locating the ideal space for Full Spectrum was a simple enough task. It began with the quest for the most affordable shed in town that could provide sufficient power for a bustling coffee roastery. Transforming this modest shed into a coffee haven was a labour of love. It's more than just a roastery; it's the heart of Full Spectrum's coffee innovation. Here, new flavours are crafted, coffee products are meticulously made, and the community immerses itself in coffee culture. This cozy shed now stands as a testament to what determination can achieve.
Transforming Vision into Reality
Bringing Full Spectrum's dream to fruition was about more than opening a shop; it was about constructing a space that is able to grow as we do. I knew that I had to start lean, so I equipped myself with the tools that allowed me as much automation as the coffee roasting community had to give. The Loring Kestal 35kg Convection Roaster was a no brainer for me as the machine offered unparalleled consistency and the opportunity to scale as required. While the Loring is responsible for the bulk of the roasting that we do, we also are roasting our samples, single origin filter coffees and lab stuff on the Roest L100 sample roaster. Again, this machine offers industry leading automation and therefore- consistency.

Each coffee product that we create originates from careful experimentation and a love for diverse coffee profiles but it cannot begin until we ask ourselves 'What is the problem that we are trying to solve?'. There are plenty of problems in the coffee industry but we take aim at the issue that everyday Australians are currently facing 'How do I make coffee at home that is just as tasty as my cafe, while using less money'. We have a few things in the pipeline now so stayed tuned.
