Privacy policy

This privacy policy explains how Full Spectrum Coffee collects, uses, stores and shares your personal information when you visit fullspectrum.coffee, buy from us, or contact us. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Full Spectrum Coffee is operated by Kylshow Pty Ltd ATF McCarthy Family Trust (ABN 91 931 747 548), 4/16 Cook Drive, Coffs Harbour NSW 2450, Australia.

What we collect

  • Order details: your name, email, phone number, billing and delivery address, and what you bought.
  • Payment details: payments are processed by Shopify and its payment partners. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account and subscription details: if you create an account or subscribe, your login, order history and subscription settings.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address and any quiz answers, if you sign up for emails or take our coffee quiz.
  • Messages: anything you send us through our contact form or by email.
  • Browsing data: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar tools.

How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your orders and subscriptions.
  • To reply to your questions and handle returns or refunds.
  • To send you emails about new coffees and offers, only if you've agreed. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how our site is used, improve it, and measure our advertising.
  • To prevent fraud and meet our legal and tax obligations.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as much as they need:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and processes payments (Shopify privacy policy).
  • Klaviyo, which sends our emails and runs our sign-up forms.
  • Delivery carriers, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver your order.
  • Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), for site analytics and advertising.
  • Our accountant and professional advisers, and government authorities where the law requires it.

Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States, Canada and Ireland. We use providers that protect personal information to a standard comparable to Australian law.

Cookies and advertising

Our site uses cookies to run the cart and checkout, remember your preferences, and measure how the site and our ads perform. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may not work properly without them. You can opt out of personalised ads through Google Ad Settings and your Meta ad preferences.

How we keep it safe

Your information is stored on secure platforms with access limited to the people who need it. We keep order records for as long as tax law requires, and delete or de-identify other information when we no longer need it.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we're not required to keep it. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time. Email hello@fullspectrum.coffee and we'll respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll work to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
