FS Instant Coffee Contract Production

Production Overview
We offer small-batch contract production of specialty instant coffee designed for roasters looking to expand their product offering, explore new sales channels, or tap into emerging consumer habits around convenience. Whether you're testing the waters or launching a full range, our service provides a reliable, transparent, and scalable production solution.

Minimum Order & Batch Yield

• Minimum production size: 1 full batch (equivalent to 12kg roasted coffee input)

• Typical yield: 1700g–2300g of finished instant coffee, depending on roast level

Pricing Structure
Our base service includes brewing of your supplied coffee, processing into instant, and packing into bulk 3kg bags. This base product consists of crushed instant sheets and is not sieved.

From there, two optional upgrades are available:

• Option A: Sieved and packed into 60g jars (label POA or label supplied)

• Option B: Sieved and packed into cleanskin single-serve sachets

Each option attracts additional supply and packaging costs for the finished product, detailed below:

Option A: 60g Jars

• Jar supply, filling & electromagnetically sealed: $4.20 per jar (includes handling, packaging, and margin for high-quality jar supply)

• Label application: POA (or provided by client)

• All jars are sealed with foil freshness seals

Option B: Cleanskin Sachets

We offer six cleanskin sachet options: gloss white, gloss black, white with clear back, silver with clear back, kraft, and silver aluminium. All are suitable for heat sealing and well-suited for both café and retail use. 60mm x 90mm. 

• Filling, sealing & packaging (including film): from $0.28 per unit, depending on fill weight, total volume, and packaging type. Higher-spec or labour-intensive runs may be priced up to $0.32 per unit.

• Sachet weight: typically 2.5g–4g per serve, depending on target brew strength

• Total units per batch vary — expect approx. 500–700 sachets depending on yield and dosage

Final invoicing is based on actual grams delivered.

Pricing Examples (ex GST):

• 2300g yield
– Cost per gram: $0.2762
– Approx. 60g jar cost (excl. label): $20.77

• 1700g yield
– Cost per gram: $0.3223
– Approx. 60g jar cost (excl. label): $23.56

Note: Final yield depends on roast level. Lighter roasts result in higher per-gram cost. Final pricing is confirmed post-production based on actual grams delivered.

GST Information

• All contract services (brewing, freeze-drying, packaging) attract GST.

• Instant coffee itself is GST-free under Australian tax law.

• Final invoices will clearly separate taxable and GST-free components.

Booking & Payment Terms

• Production slot fee: $200 (credited toward final invoice)

• Balance due: Prior to dispatch

• Lead time: 10–14 days from booking confirmation

• MOQ: 1 batch (1700–2300g yield)

• Label deadline: If supplying your own labels, provide them no later than 5 days before dispatch
